KAZN / AM1300
In September 1993, KAZN AM 1300 began broadcasting in Chinese Mandarin, making it the first and only free-access full-day Chinese-language radio in the U.S. In July 1998, KAZN was acquired by MRBI and incorporated into MRBI’s Chinese Media Group operations.
KAZN was created to serve Southern California’s diverse Chinese community. Combining experienced broadcasters from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the U.S. and quality programming with wide-appealing variety.
Over the years, KAZN has evolved to becoming a household name and a trusted source of information and entertainment in the Southern California’s Chinese community.
Apart from being the voice for the community, KAZN has actively organized and participated in countless charity events, raising relief funds for people in need all over the world. KAZN is also a proud sponsor and organizer of various events such as seminars, concerts, holiday parties, cultural festivals, tours, competitions and dinner shows, that establish bonds between audiences and their favorite radio station and program hosts.
As a powerful media outlet, KAZN is an important and effective vehicle for advertisers to tap into the ever-growing Chinese community in Southern California through radio spots, special promotional events and live broadcasts. The ultimate result of the synergy among station, its clients and listeners is superior programming and client service.
