The Chinese American community is the largest ethnic group of Asian Americans, comprising of 22.4% of the total Asian American population. They constitute about 1% of the United States as a whole. In 2004, Chinese American population numbered to nearly 3.4 million.
Across the Pacific Ocean, the United States and China are major trade partners and have common interests in major global strategic initiatives and policies; however the relationships between U.S. and China are dynamic and multi-faceted.
To foster better understanding between the people of the U.S. and China, to promote culture and heritage awareness, and to provide information and education exchange, as the leading U.S. based Chinese language broadcaster, MRBI established a Business Unit to serve this rapidly growing media needs. Sino Radio Broadcasting
KAZN AM 1300 is the number one Chinese Mandarin radio station in Los Angeles, CA.
KAHZ AM 1600 simulcasts from KAZN, KAHZ is the number one Mandarin radio station in Orange County, CA.
KMRB AM 1430 is the number one Chinese Cantonese radio station in Los Angeles, CA.
WKDM AM 1380 is MRBI’s most recently launched full time Chinese radio station in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. KMRB is broadcasting in Mandarin 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday.
WZRC AM 1480 is the number one Cantonese radio stations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Sinocast Radio is the first Chinese radio network created by the founder of MRBI. Currently Sinocast Radio is still the one and only Chinese radio network programming broadcasted throughout the U.S. and Canada to serve the Chinese people and their communities.
Sino Television Broadcasting
Sino Television is the only 24 hour Chinese language television station in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut tri-state region. Available via cable TV, satellite TV, IPTV, and soon broadcast TV.
Sino Print Publications
M-Weekly is a Chinese language entertainment and culture magazine published weekly in Los Angeles and New York markets.
Sino Sports Entertainment
MRBI is actively engaged in bringing popular sports entertainment to the Chinese communities via its radio, television, and print channels. For a number of years MRBI broadcasted NBA games on a nation wide basis in Chinese. In New York, WZRC AM1480 broadcasts live from Madison Square Garden over 30 New York Knicks games every year. Sino Television’s sports reporting team conducts special coverage every year on the New York Knicks vs. Houston Rockets game because the popularity of Yao Ming in the Chinese American community. In 2006 MRBI’s Chinese radio stations broadcasted the 2006 FIFA World Cup. MRBI plan to bring the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China; and the 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Sino Music Entertainment
Music is the universal language of communications. MRBI’s Sino Music Entertainment is developing programs and events that focus on Chinese language and Great China originated music, shows, and performances. It is in MRBI’s view that these programs will not only serve the Chinese American communities, but will also generate great interest from the American general audience as a whole. As a result, it will bring better understanding and appreciation of popular cultures from Asia by the U.S. audience.
